St Piran's Summer Ball

Saturday 10th June 2017

A fabulous night of sparkle and celebration was enjoyed by our largest number of guests to date!
Our live band, "the Formosa Frenzy", kept everyone dancing (and Mr Carroll singing!) well into the evening, and we dined in style with delicious food from our caterers, Thomas Franks.
A fabulous diamond necklace, donated by Peter Ungar Jewellery, was won in our diamond drop by a lucky Reception parent! Our auction went extremely well and you can see our list of winners here. Prizes are to be collected from the school office.

We are still finalising the overall accounts, but we can announce that due to your fantastic support, we raised a stunning £21,104.90 on the night just from the live and silent auctions and Diamond Drop. This is a fantastic amount and the largest ever achieved, which is wonderful. This will be shared between the school and local and child-based charities. This year, we are contributing to the refurbishment of the children's kitchen in school, and donating to the Link Foundation and Thames Valley Adventure Playground.

Our thanks to all who came along or donated auction prizes as we close another successful School Ball. Thank you also to Active Security who sponsored our event for another year.

We are grateful to Active Security for their sponsorship of the Summer Ball again this year.

In 2016, our Bollywood-themed Summer Ball was enjoyed by all who came along.

We made a profit of over £19,000 allowing us to begin the overhaul of the Upper School library as hoped, and build an amphitheatre/ staging area on the Lower School field for the children to use!

2015's ball raises a record-breaking amount!

For 2015's St Piran's Society Summer Ball, sponsored by Active Security,we hosted a night of “Puttin' on the Ritz” with 20’s & 30's, Gatsby & Downtown, Spats and Top hats!

374 bottles of wine, plenty of beer and cocktails consumed, we had some fabulous Live and Silent Auction prizes along with Sign a Tenner, the aim being to raise money towards a much needed additional minibus for the school, along with a donation to the Society's chosen charity, The Link Foundation. We were able to fulfil this aim, and more, as our evening raised a grand and record breaking total of £19,300!

Thanks to everyone for their support of the evening.

We were overwhelmed by the generosity of all those who came to our Rio themed Summer Ball in June 2014 and through our auction, raised a grand total of £14,000
